My First Art Submission

I'm pretty excited and nervous about submitting some of my work for the Prim Magazine.  This is my first time so I don't know what to expect, but I've been encouraged by my family and some art friends to go for it.  I plan on doing more submissions throughout the year.  Wish me luck.

It's only just begun!!!

Third layer of base color.....now we wait.
Waiting for paint to dry, not one of my strengths.  I'm so excited to start designing this piece.

I'm doing a little time travel here, going back to the early 1800's when the coverlet was a useful and decorative possession to lay over the bed.  So instead of a weaving loom, I will weave with my paint brush and create a floorcloth/oyle cloth that mimics this time period. I am always inspired by quilt and coverlet patterns and don't set aside the time to create them.

This is going to be a Primitive Folk Art Trinkets and Treasures Marketplace exclusive.  I'm really honored to have been asked to be April's featured artist, and I hope you all will stop by PFATT on April 10th to check out all the amazing art. There is something for everyone.
