Fortuna the Fortune Teller

Follow me to Willow Hollow............

Fortuna patiently awaits your arrival, she knows when to expect you and what you will want to hear from her.  Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it.

Hand sculpted art doll in a handmade booth that has battery operated lights just under the metal dome roof.  The lights softly illuminate Fortuna's crystal ball and tarot cards.

Fortuna will make her way to shows this fall in SWFL.
*the tarot cards were a lovely touch sent to me by my wonderful Witchy Sister, LeeAnn Kress.

An Elephant Never Forgets

Follow me to Willow Hollow............

Hi there!  So glad you stopped in to see my latest creation.  I have to say this was just about as fun as doing my "Cat in the Hat" sculpture for Art Doll Quarterly Magazine last summer.  You can still see this on my blog banner.

Chloe is a circus performer who has just finished her very last performance with her long time friend and performance partner;  Raja the circus elephant.  Chloe sets the ball aside and unbuckles the harness to remove the head piece from Raja's head and trunk.
With familiar precision, Raja easily lifts Chloe up with his front leg so he can look into her eyes as to say, "thank you for my freedom".  Knowingly, Chloe closes her eyes and leans in to give Raja a hug and a kiss thanking Raja for his faithful service.

This may be the end of their performances together, but not to their friendship.  An elephant never forgets.

**I am undecided if I will be selling this piece or not.  It was an idea that came to me in a dream and has deep meaning for me.

Crazy Charlie Christmas Art Doll

Crazy Charlie is a one of a kind piece.  He's all excited because the Christmas season is approaching and he can start draping himself with tinsel and bobbles.  Now if he could only keep his head on straight!

Sculpted with creative paperclay, Charlie came to life.  He stands steady on a wooden platform while he gets busy with his decorations.

Approx 14" tall with the base at 10" wide

PFATT offering for July

Garden of Stones

Standing barefoot at the gate of a cemetery, this red headed witch is beckoning you in with a subtle curving of her right index finger, sassy little smile and innocent green eyes.   She holds an oracle glass in her left hand and is ready to tell you about your future if you dare.

This vignette stands about 10” tall on a 8” wooden base.  The witch figure, snakes, skull and grave stone have been sculpted from prosculpt clay and hand painted.  A metal archway is covered in natural elements as well as the pathway that she stands on.

Designed and created by Susie Krichbaum

Halloweenie Frank

I started creating "Halloweenies" in 2015 for a Halloween Show I was exhibiting at. They turned out to be a big selling item and I’m happy to say will be in the Fall 2016 edition of Art Doll Quarterly.

“Halloweenies” are little miniature semi- posable dolls that are little kiddos with masks on, each are 6" tall seated and about 10" tall with legs outstretched.  They are the little ones who come to your door with their little trick or treat buckets expecting goodies.  The side view picture of the shows the “mask” attached to a little kids face.

Hand sculpted with paperclay and proscuplt, then carefully painted and dressed.  A hang tag with the following description is attached to each “Halloweenie”.

Halloweenies
We are the wee ones
that got all dressed up and yelled
“Trick or Treat”
on your door steps

Zahara - Zen Art Doll

$150.00   contact me at Susiewhc@gmail.com

Zahara is an art doll that stands about 10" tall.  She is standing on a sconce that hangs easily hangs on a wall with a light weight nail.  The whole piece is about 14" tall by 12" wide.

This one of a kind doll was created and designed by me using vintage fabrics and thrift store finds.

I sculpted Zahara out of paperclay and attached her to a candle holder/sconce I found at a thrift shop. This little red head is draped in beautiful gold toned clothing made from vintage fabrics. She meditates silently with her hands to heart center; her mala resting around her beaded wrists.
She peacefully holds a tree pose in the middle of a lovely lotus. The lotus was created by sculpting each petal out of wire and filling with pink shear fabric, and finally embellishing with natural elements of moss and fern.

Wonderland OOAK Sculpture

$250 plus ship
Contact me at Susiewhc@gmail.com for questions or purchase

This is a one of a kind sculpture. Standing about 20" high is my version of Wonderland.
It all started with a thrift store find.  I spied an iron candle stick with a blue half-moon made of glass and saw the Cheshire Cat smiling back at me.  I couldn’t wait to get started, only to find out I would have a hard time stopping………………

As I worked in my little place I call a studio/laundry room, my mind kept willing me to add more and more to this simple candle stick than just a cheesin’ cat.  I began to build upwards making the teacup take the place of where a candle would naturally stand.  The teacup representing the infamous Mad Tea Party, and painted with hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades as to not forget the Queen of Hearts.  Nestled inside the teacup and sitting on his mushroom, is the hookah smoking, cantankerous yet wise old caterpillar.

Taking center stage wearing a Mad Hat is a Cheshire Cat smiling in his wicked way.  This is where a battery flicker candle makes his smile even more illuminating.  Just below is the small vial of a special potion and the all-important key to Alice’s imagination, along with the pocket watch representing the illusive White Rabbit.

I hope you enjoy this is a one of a kind sculpture. Standing about 20" high is my version of Wonderland.
