Honored to be the PFATT Marketplace featured Artist for April

Coverlet Inspired Floorcloth

I'm so happy with the end result here.
This floorcloth will be available for sale at PFATT Marketplace on April 10th along with a couple of other items I created exclusively for PFATT this month.  Please stop by and visit on the 10th to see what is new this month.  I'm honored to be the featured Artist of April.

It's only just begun!!!

Third layer of base color.....now we wait.
Waiting for paint to dry, not one of my strengths.  I'm so excited to start designing this piece.

I'm doing a little time travel here, going back to the early 1800's when the coverlet was a useful and decorative possession to lay over the bed.  So instead of a weaving loom, I will weave with my paint brush and create a floorcloth/oyle cloth that mimics this time period. I am always inspired by quilt and coverlet patterns and don't set aside the time to create them.

This is going to be a Primitive Folk Art Trinkets and Treasures Marketplace exclusive.  I'm really honored to have been asked to be April's featured artist, and I hope you all will stop by PFATT on April 10th to check out all the amazing art. There is something for everyone.

This is a new floor cloth I'm currently working on. It is inspired by an old quilt a friend just gave me. I plan on keeping a distressed look
with this one and use some antique on it. So here is a preview
of the work in progress.
